Discover what's around you.
Stumbletown is a location-based community app where posts are pinned to real places — and only visible when you're nearby.
Download on the App StoreHyperlocal conversations, grounded in place.
Stumbletown lets you leave posts, stories, and thoughts at specific GPS coordinates. Walk past a coffee shop, a park bench, or a hidden alleyway — and discover what others left there before you.
Posts are only visible within 25 metres of where they were created. No algorithms. No infinite scroll. Just real places and the people passing through them.
Drop a post
Write something and pin it to where you're standing. It stays there for anyone who walks by.
Walk and discover
As you move through the world, posts from others appear — tied to the exact spot where they were written.
Reply in place
Conversations happen in context. Replies are tied to the original post's location, keeping everything grounded.

Stumbletown is built around location — so we take privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what control you have over it.
What we collect
Account information. When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
Location data. When you create a post, we store the GPS coordinates of where you were standing at the time. This location is attached to the post — not to you personally — and is used only to determine which posts appear in other users' feeds.
Posts and replies. The content you write, along with its timestamp and pinned location, is stored in our database.
Crash and diagnostic data. We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports when the app encounters an error. This helps us fix bugs. No personally identifiable information is included in crash reports.
What we do not collect
We do not track your location continuously or in the background. We do not sell your data to advertisers or third parties. We do not use your data to build advertising profiles.
How we use your data
Your location is used only to pin your posts to a place and to filter what posts appear in your feed based on proximity. Your email is used for account authentication and, if you opt in, to send important service updates.
Third-party services
Stumbletown uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies: Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, and crash reporting; and OpenWeatherMap for local weather data displayed in the app.
Data retention
Your posts and account data are retained until you delete them or close your account. You can request deletion of all your data at any time by contacting us.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. To make a request, email us at doranbastin@me.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice.
