Frequently asked questions.
On the Today tab, tap the + button. A form opens where you can add text, chords, key, BPM, and an audio recording.
Type a chord progression (e.g. Am, G, C, F) and tap Add. The app analyzes the chords and suggests the most likely key. You can override it by tapping any key in the Key row.
Record audio and tap the BPM detect button. The app analyzes the rhythm in your recording and estimates the tempo. You can also set BPM manually with the slider.
The Arrangement is where you build a finished piece from your memos. Organise your ideas into sections, play them back in sequence, and hear how everything fits together.
Yes — with Memo Mix Pro, your memos and arrangements sync automatically to your private iCloud storage via CloudKit. They are stored securely in your own iCloud account and are not accessible to us.
Modes adapt the app for different creative practices — Music, Poetry, Narration, Podcast, and Stand-up Comedy are all supported. Each mode changes the section labels to match your craft.
Open the Help tab, scroll to the account section, and tap "Delete Account & Data." This permanently removes all memos, arrangements, and audio from your device and from iCloud.

Memo Mix is built by Doran Bastin as an independent app. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Apple Sign In identity. When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email address (or an anonymized relay address). This is used solely to identify your private iCloud storage container. We never share or sell this information.
Your creative content. Memos, audio recordings, chord progressions, lyrics, and arrangement data. This content is created by you and stored on your device and in your private iCloud account.
Subscription status. Whether you have an active Memo Mix Pro subscription. This is managed by RevenueCat on your behalf.
What we do not collect
We do not serve ads or share data with advertisers. We do not use analytics SDKs or track your in-app behaviour. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not access your microphone outside of active recording sessions you initiate.
How your data is stored
On your device. All memos and audio are stored locally in the app's private sandbox. No one else can access this data.
In your iCloud. If you sign in with Apple, your memos and arrangements sync via CloudKit to your own private iCloud account. This data is governed by Apple's privacy policy and is not accessible to us.
Third-party services
Memo Mix uses the following third-party services: Apple CloudKit for cross-device sync; RevenueCat for managing in-app subscriptions (receives a pseudonymous user identifier and subscription events only); and Apple StoreKit for all payment processing (we never see your payment information).
Children's privacy
Memo Mix is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Deleting your data
You can delete all your data at any time. Open the Help tab, scroll to the account section, and tap "Delete Account & Data." This permanently removes all memos, arrangements, and audio from your device and from iCloud.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
